🥱 Feeling Tired Around Screens?

There are days when your eyes feel heavy even if you haven’t done anything physically tiring.

After spending hours on your phone, laptop, or TV, you might notice your eyes getting dry, your head feeling foggy, or your energy dropping faster than usual.

This is more common than you think.

A lot of it has to do with how much time we spend in front of screens.

Your eyes and brain are not designed to stare at bright screens for long periods without breaks. The constant exposure to blue light and focusing up close can strain your eyes and affect your natural rhythm.

When this happens often, your body starts to respond.

What you might notice
Some signs can be easy to brush off at first:

  • Dry or irritated eyes
  • Blurry vision
  • Headaches
  • Trouble focusing
  • Feeling more tired than usual
  • Difficulty sleeping at night

Over time, these can affect your daily energy and productivity.

What can help
You don’t need to completely avoid screens. Just create better habits around them.

Start simple:

  • Take short breaks every 20–30 minutes
  • Blink more often to keep your eyes hydrated
  • Adjust your screen brightness to a comfortable level
  • Avoid screens at least 30–60 minutes before sleep
  • Step outside and give your eyes a break by looking at distant objects

Small changes can make a big difference when done consistently.

One thing to remember
Your body is not working against you.
It’s simply reacting to how you’re using it.

When you give your eyes and mind the care they need, your energy and focus can slowly come back into balance.
