Poor gut health can have a significant impact on your overall health and well-being. Chronic digestive issues are usually associated with poor gut health. If left untreated, these symptoms can lead to more serious illnesses such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. It is important to be aware of the signs of poor gut health so that you can take action to improve your digestive system before it becomes a major problem. Let’s dive into the main warnings signs your body could be trying to give you:

1. You have an upset stomach.

Any chronic gas, bloating, constipation, diarrhea and/or heartburn can be a sign that your gut needs help.

If the quality of bacteria in the gut is poor this can cause you to not be able to digest certain foods. This can lead to gas, bloating, diarrhea, nausea, etc.

Weight loss can come from not being able to absorb nutrients due to an imbalance in gut bacteria, and an overgrowth of bacteria can cause problems in regulating blood sugar and fat storage which can lead to weight gain.

Skin irritations like psoriasis, eczema and acne can all be caused by an unhealthy gut and inflammation.
