Valerian Root “Sleeping Pill” Tea

Valerian Root is known for it’s sedative effects, which makes it the perfect base for a calming tea to add to routine before bed. Lemon Balm and Passion Flower also help reduce stress and calm the mind. Rose Petals, Hop Flower and Lemongrass all help with insomnia and promote relaxation and a restful night’s sleep. This mixture of calming herbs will be sure to help you drift off into a full night or restorative shut eye.

Ingredients:

  • 25g dried valerian root
  • 50g dried lemon balm
  • 25g dried passion flower
  • 25g dried rose petals
  • 25g dried hop flowers
  • 25g dried lemongrass

Instructions:

  • STEP 1

    Mix all the herbs together well. Store in an airtight jar in a cool, dry place.

  • STEP 2

    Use one heaping tablespoon per cup of boiling water.

    Place the herbs in a tea infuser ball or small teapot.

  • STEP 3

    Allow to steep for 5 minutes. Drain the tea liquid and discard the herbs.
